Will the great democrat Michael Danby denounce the neo-Nazi upsurge in Ukraine?

The Citizens Electoral Council has rushed to print its latest New Citizen newspaper, to expose to the Australian people that the protesters in Ukraine that the media paints as "democratic" are in fact hard core neo-Nazis, through which the British and Barack Obama are orchestrating a coup, aimed at militarily encircling Russia, which borders Ukraine.

For Russia, already under threat from NATO’s expanding missile defence program and its pre-emptive nuclear strike doctrine, such a coup in Ukraine would be a cause for war, which, once started, would rapidly escalate into thermonuclear war.

The sole cause of this world-threatening crisis is the strategy of the British financier oligarchy, whose modern empire is based in the bankrupt monetary centres of London and Wall Street, to consolidate a global financial dictatorship by pre-emptively targeting with nuclear weapons the only nations with the power to resist, the economically-developing Russia and China.

Do Australia’s leaders support the neo-Nazis?

From the outset in November, the core of the protesters in Kiev’s Independence Square (dubbed Euromaidan) have been avowed neo-Nazis, right-wing soccer hooligans, so-called “Afghantsy” veterans of the Soviet War in Afghanistan and soldiers-for-hire who fought in post-Soviet conflicts. 350 Ukrainians returned from fighting alongside al-Qaeda in Syria early in the New Year to join the protestors. The protests are led by a “troika” of right-wing parties, including the neo-Nazi Svoboda (Freedom) party, whose leader, Oleh Tyahnybok, uses racial slurs in railing against a “Russian-Jewish mafia” ruling Ukraine. In 2012 the Simon Wiesenthal Centre ranked Tyahnybok number five in its international top ten anti-Semites. Svoboda marches under the red and black flag of Stepan Bandera’s Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists, the Nazi collaborators who exterminated Jews and Poles under the Nazi occupation in WWII.

The Svoboda party reportedly conducted paramilitary training in the summer months before the protests started. Masked radicals initiated the violence in Kiev on 30 November, by throwing Molotov cocktails at police who responded with tear gas and bludgeons. The protestors then seized the Kiev mayoralty building as a barracks for protest organisers and guards, declaring it “revolutionary headquarters”. One of the Nazi groups occupying the building, called Right Sector, described themselves to Canada’s 7 February Globe and Mail as an “army” that supports Svoboda, and of “having a cache of weapons sufficient to fight a civil war”. The evidence demonstrating the neo-Nazi domination of the Euromaidan protests is overwhelming, documentation for which is provided in the Feb/Mar issue of the New Citizen, among other public sources.

On 12 December, Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop cannot have been ignorant of the violent neo-Nazi component of the protests when she issued a thoroughly dishonest statement whitewashing the role of the violent Nazis in the protests. Her statement read: “Ms Bishop has joined many in the international community to deplore the Ukrainian Government’s use of violence against peaceful protestors in Kyiv, which was disproportionate and excessive. Ms Bishop has urged the Ukrainian authorities to exercise utmost restraint in regard to the protests; to ensure Ukraine’s international commitments to the freedoms of assembly and expression are fully upheld; and to listen to the voices and aspirations of the Ukrainian people.” [Emphasis added.]

Neither can the ALP Member for Melbourne Ports, Michael Danby, be ignorant of this neo-Nazi upsurge, given that he is a major leader of the global “democracy” movement, a close observer of Ukrainian politics, and Jewish. He is also on the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Australian Parliament. Danby is personally intimately acquainted with Ukrainian politics. He visited Ukraine in 2008 to attend the World Movement for Democracy Assembly, where he met with then-government figures who are now part of the opposition. On his website Danby boasts about how he organised the 60th anniversary celebration of the “Victory over Fascism”, commemorating the Soviet role in the defeat of Hitler.

So why then has Danby remained silent about the neo-Nazi upsurge in Ukraine, while actively peddling the anti-Russian line of those who are supporting the Ukrainian insurrection?

For instance, he tweeted a witting lie on 3 Dec. 2013, “Ukraine torn apart. President Yanukovich abandons treaty with Europe under pressure from Putin”. The truth is that Ukraine rejected an agreement that would have subjected it to the same austerity conditionalities that are destroying Greece, Spain, Italy and Ireland, and also rejected the EU’s heavy-handed ultimatum, that Ukraine must only sign an EU agreement, and not one with Russia also, whereas Ukraine hoped to reach an agreement with both, as did Russia. Might the explanation for Danby’s silence on the most threatening rise of Nazism since WWII, be his heavy involvement with the networks behind the uprising? Danby is on the steering committee of the World Movement for Democracy (presently on leave), which operates under the U.S.-funded, British-controlled National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a major source of funds for the NGOs that are orchestrating the Ukrainian uprising. He is also an international patron of Britain’s Henry Jackson Society, which advocates a “forward strategy” to spread “liberal democracy across the world” through “the full spectrum of ‘carrot’ capacities, be they diplomatic, economic, cultural or political, but also, when necessary, those ‘sticks’ of the military domain”—precisely the operation being run against Ukraine.
