Libya report proves Australia & allies are LIARS—we must get out of Syria NOW!

Australian forces are now complicit in a war crime in Syria. Last Saturday they participated in a US-led bombing of Syrian Arab Army soldiers, killing 62 and wounding at least 100 more, who were engaged in combat against the deranged jihadists of ISIS.

The CEC is calling upon all Australians to call their MP to demand that Australia get out of Syria now! (See below.)

The bombing received 24 hours of news coverage in Australia, reported as entirely “accidental” because it must be, it’s us. However, Russia and Syria made the serious charge that it wasn’t accidental, given that the ISIS fighters involved coordinated their assault with the air strikes.

Whatever the specific details, the main facts are indisputable:

the Syrian soldiers were in their own country, fighting ISIS terrorists—an army of murderous jihadists from all over the world;
they were killed by air strikes from forces operating in their country without consent, and therefore illegally under international law;
the bombings benefited ISIS;
Australia was somehow involved.

The bombing effectively destroyed the ceasefire in Syria. The Australian media immediately changed the subject when an aid convoy was attacked two days later, repeating without question the White House’s accusation that Russia—which unlike us is in Syria legally at the request of the Syrian government—is responsible.

In light of the UK House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee’s Libya Report released last week, we can now say with certainty that the governments of the USA, UK, and France, and their sycophants in the Australian government, who are pushing to overthrow Assad in Syria, ARE LIARS.

The Libya report proves that the very same governments made the very same claims about Libya and Gaddafi in 2011, that they are making about Syria and Assad now, and those claims were all lies.

They said of Libya: Gaddafi is killing his own people; ordinary Libyans are uprising against his brutal regime. Since 2012 they have said exactly the same thing about Syria: Assad is a butcher who is killing his own people; moderate Syrians are rising up to overthrow his brutal regime.

The opening summary of the Libya Report destroys all of these claims in a single paragraph:

“In March 2011, the United Kingdom and France, with the support of the United States, led the international community to support an intervention in Libya to protect civilians from attacks by forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi. This policy was not informed by accurate intelligence. In particular, the Government failed to identify that the threat to civilians was overstated and that the rebels included a significant Islamist element.” (Emphasis added.)

In other words, Gaddafi was not killing his own people, and those uprising were not ordinary citizens, but al-Qaeda-linked jihadists backed by the extreme Gulf Islamist dictatorships Qatar and UAE. As a consequence of the intervention, Libya is a failed state, and a transit point for hundreds of thousands of refugees from North Africa flooding into Europe. Most damning, Libya is also now a source of, and haven for, Islamist terrorists including from al-Qaeda and ISIS who are the scourge of North Africa and Syria and most of the Middle East. The terrorists are armed with the weapons of Gaddafi’s regime that the Libya Report notes the UK, France and US did not bother to secure after the intervention. In fact, as revealed by journalist Seymour Hersh in April 2014, this was done intentionally—with most of the weapons going to arm the al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorists we are effectively allied with in Syria.

Call your MP!

We now have the Chilcot Report that proves the British and American governments lied to invade Iraq, and our government supported them. We have the “28 pages” that prove the Saudi government funded the 9/11 attack with money generated from their corrupt arms deal with the British, which the US government covered up for 14 years. And we have the Libya Report that proves again how blatantly the USA and UK lied, this time with France, to conduct a regime change operation on Libya, which they are trying to repeat in Syria—all of which Australia has supported.

It is up to the ordinary citizens of Australia, the UK, USA and France to hold our governments to account for these crimes. Start by calling your federal Member of Parliament, to demand that Australia withdraw from Syria, where we are only helping terrorists, just as our allies did in Libya.
