To stop new terrorist attacks, join the ‘28 pages’ mobilisation!

The United States Department of Homeland Security’s July 2016 report has just co-ranked Australia and the UK third behind the USA and France as likely targets of ISIS-inspired terrorism, echoing warnings by government leaders such as British PM Theresa May and Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop. In the wake of the past year’s atrocities in Paris, San Bernardino, Brussels, Orlando, Istanbul, Dhaka, Nice, and elsewhere, a new terrorist strike on British or Australian soil, or both, seems virtually inevitable, right? Wrong!

There is a way out of this, a method by which we can end this nightmare, but it involves you, personally, taking action. Everything you need to know is in the new CEC pamphlet To Stop a Near-term Terror Attack, Read the ‘28 Pages’!

Among other crucial material, the pamphlet contains the full 28 pages of the US Congressional Joint Inquiry report on 9/11, which were finally released on 15 July after being suppressed by the George W. Bush and Barack Obama Administrations for almost 14 years. The Australian media has not reported on the release of the 28 pages, while the UK media has largely misreported their content, claiming they contain nothing new. This blackout and these lies perpetuate the cover-up of the actual forces which organised 9/11, a cover-up which makes new such attacks inevitable.

In reality, the 28 pages prove that the US government under President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney knew that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—and not Iraq—financed and logistically supported al-Qaeda and the 9/11 attacks. Saudi Arabia’s then-Ambassador to the United States Prince Bandar bin Sultan (who was so close to the Bush family that he was nicknamed “Bandar Bush”) is named repeatedly in the document as supporting some of the hijackers, 15 of 19 of whom were Saudi nationals. But the story goes higher still—to the same British government which is Saudi Arabia’s business partner in arms dealing and war. As part of the mammoth al-Yamamah arms deal, which PM Margaret Thatcher and Bandar struck in 1985, funds were transferred from BAE Systems through a special UK Ministry of Defence account at the Bank of England into Bandar’s personal bank account in Riggs Bank in Washington, DC, the account from which the 28 pages show he dispatched funds to the on-site Saudi Intelligence controllers of two of the hijackers. And even higher up, the chief negotiator for the later phases of the al-Yamamah deal, since the early 1990s, has been none other than Prince Charles. The Prince of Wales is an intimate of Prince Bandar, and has been identified by British investigators and police as the key individual hindering the investigation of 9/11 links to Britain.

That such links between the British government and 9/11 exist is not surprising: the UK has had a policy since the early 1990s of allowing al-Qaeda, Chechen and other terrorists to operate freely from Britain, as long as they didn’t launch attacks within the UK itself. This “covenant of security”, as it was known, between MI5 and MI6 and the terrorists was the subject of bitter complaints by over a dozen governments, earning Britain the nickname of “Londonistan”. Nor did it even protect Britain, where the 7/7 subway attacks of 7 July 2005, in which 52 people were killed and another 700 injured, were inspired by confessed MI5 agent Abu Hamza. The fruits of the “covenant of security” include the virtual sea of terrorists reportedly now preparing to strike in the UK.

The neoconservatives in the Bush-Cheney White House classified the 28 pages in December 2002, when the rest of the 838-page Joint Inquiry report was published, in order to cover up the British-Saudi connection to terrorism and 9/11. They proceeded to launch the invasion of Iraq, based on false intelligence that was fabricated with the help of Britain’s Blair government and its intelligence agencies.

Now, with the almost simultaneous release of the 28 pages and the Chilcot report—the result of the UK’s Iraq Inquiry on the run-up to the invasion of that country—the inter-linked cover-ups of 9/11 and the causes of the 2003 Anglo-American invasion of Iraq are beginning to fall apart. Saddam had no ties to al-Qaeda such as Bush and Blair charged, and therefore no involvement in 9/11—a crucial claim used in motivating the invasion.

Much more remains to come out about 9/11 and the Bush/Cheney/Blair launch of the Iraq War, but the truth of those events and their connection to today’s international terrorism will emerge only if individual citizens take the responsibility to hold their governments to account. And that begins with the 28 pages, which were finally released thanks solely to a relentless campaign by a small number of people: family members of 9/11 victims, a handful of US congressmen, and representatives of Executive Intelligence Review magazine and its founder, economist Lyndon LaRouche (the American associates of the CEC), thus proving that individual citizens possess the power to change the course of history.

Here is what you must do:

  1. Read the 28 pages for yourself. See if they don’t shock you in the same way they did US Congressman Thomas Massie, one of those responsible for forcing their release, who said, “I had to stop every couple pages and … try to rearrange my understanding of history. It challenges you to rethink everything.”
  2. Give copies of this pamphlet to your local MP and your local police station, and demand that they read it, in particular the 28 pages. They are not going to get this information any other way. Email the PDF, print it out and take it, or order copies from the CEC. If you use email, follow up to confirm receipt and make sure they read it. MPs and police are the priority, because their decisions affect national security. Otherwise, help circulate the pamphlet as widely as you can, including via announcements and links on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  3. Demand that your MP act on this as an urgent matter of national security:

In the UK, Parliament must force Theresa May to re-open the Serious Fraud Office investigation of the al-Yamamah arms deal, the probe shut down by Tony Blair in 2006 on “national security” grounds. Parliament should also establish a transparent Parliamentary Commission to investigate al-Yamamah and its links to 9/11, and require everyone involved—including Prince Charles—to testify. Parliament must also demand that the May government pressure the Obama Administration to establish a new Commission to complete the investigation of 9/11.

The police should demand that MI5 and MI6 end their abundantly documented collusion with terrorist organisations, which has cost many British lives and now threatens many more.

In Australia, Parliament must demand that the Turnbull government pressure the British government to re-open the Serious Fraud Office investigation of al-Yamamah, and establish a transparent Parliamentary Commission to investigate al-Yamamah and its links to 9/11, and to require everyone involved, again including Prince Charles, to testify. Parliament must also demand that the Turnbull government pressure the Obama Administration to establish a new Commission to complete the investigation of 9/11.

The state and federal police should demand that ASIO disclose any collusion it has with MI5 to tolerate or even encourage terrorist groups or individuals in Australia, and immediately end that policy. Parliament must also investigate ASIO’s role in facilitating terrorism, as emerged in the events leading to the Sydney Siege.

The way out

It is the unfolding new global financial crisis, far worse than that of 2008, that drives ever new waves of terrorism, which the Anglo-American establishment welcomes as the justification for establishing draconian measures of police-state control. It also drives that establishment’s moves towards provoking an intensified showdown with Russia and China, before its power disintegrates along with its Too Big To Fail banks.

To solve this crisis in full, governments must institute an alternative to the dying globalised financial system, beginning with passing Glass-Steagall legislation to break up the Too Big To Fail London and Wall Street banks, establishing national banks to finance the real economy, and collaborating with the efforts of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) nations to launch a new, just world economic order, as is underscored in the pamphlet’s concluding article.
