Icelanders Vote a Landslide Against Bailing Out Anglo-Dutch

March 8, 2010 (LPAC)—Despite threats from the British empire that Iceland would be made "an international pariah" by not acquiescing in the demand to pay about $5.5 billion to the British and Dutch governments over the failure of the Icesave bank, the citizens of Iceland, in their first referendum ever, voted 93% against the usurious deal, and only 1.6% in favor of paying the Anglo-Dutch. Up through this week, the British government was trying to find a way to cancel the public vote —anticipating the landslide "No"—in fear that it would become a "dangerous precedent" for other countries in financial difficulties. The Iceland parliament had okayed the Anglo-Dutch demands by a one-vote margin in December 2009.

On March 2, EIRNS reported from Sweden that the popular resistance in Iceland to the British pressure was strong. The Sweden report said, "Gordon Brown is the most popular foreign target. Hundreds of families have posted their nice family photos on a homepage asking: 'Is it me, who is the terrorist, Mr. Brown?.' In 2008, the U.K. put Iceland on the list of terrorists like Al Qaida, to be able to seize the British assets of the Icelandic banks, triggering the Iceland banking crisis. A famous cartoonist shows Gordon Brown as a nasty British school boy showing off to two school girls with a chain saw against a cornered terrified other school boy who looks like former Icelandic Prime Minister Geir Haarde. Brown is saying: 'Look girls! This is how you handle a terrorist who has lost your lunch box.'

This loss is just a drop in the bucket compared to the Inter-Alpha Group which Lyndon LaRouche exposed in his current paper, "The Senile British Lion: Evil, Wicked and Stupid." LaRouche stated today, "Let Inter-Alpha pay. If they don't have the money, let them admit it."
