Obama Extends Bush-Cheney 9/11 Emergency September 12, 2009 (LPAC)In his Sept. 8 webcast, Lyndon LaRouche noted that Barack Obama even though he campaigned against it has become quickly an advocate of the Unitary Executive, the dictatorship set up by President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney after the 9/11 attacks. Those attacks, LaRouche charged, were themselves planned and financed by an alliance between London and Saudi Arabia.
As if to prove the point, two days later, on Sept. 10, President Obama officially declared the continuation of the state of emergency that began after September 11, 2001, and of all the dictatorial, police-state measure that Bush and Cheney put into force at that time.
"Because the terrorist threat continues," the official statement issued by Obama states, "the national emergency declared on September 14, 2001, and the powers and authorities adopted to deal with that emergency, must continue in effect beyond September 14, 2009. Therefore, I am continuing in effect for an additional year the national emergency the former President declared on September 14, 2001."
