Schwarzenegger Tells CA Legislature: "We Have No Choice" But To Kill June 4, 2009 (LPAC) — After asserting the necessity to slash spending on education, health care, and prisons, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger made clear that he understands the murderous consequences of these cuts:
"I know the consequences of these cuts are not just dollars. I see the faces behind these dollars.... I see the children whose teacher will be laid-off.... I see the Alzheimers' patients losing some of their In-Home Support Services. I see firefighters and police officers who will lose their jobs.
"People come up to me all the time, pleading, 'Governor, please don't cut my program.' They tell me how the cuts will affect them and their loved ones. I see the pain in their eyes and hear the fear in their voice.
"It's an awful feeling. But we have no choice. Our wallet is empty. Our bank is closed. Our credit is dried up."
It was to give this speech, to announce that there is no alternative to fascist economic policies, that Schwarzenegger was put in office by George Shultz and others — because they believed he "had the stomach" to make that speech.
Well, now he has made it. Are there any legislators in Sacramento who will denounce him for the fascist he is, and back a campaign to remove him?
