More U.S. patriots fight back against Obama war drive

The following statement was issued by U.S. statesman Lyndon LaRouche’s larouchepac.com on March 8, in response to the introduction into the U.S. Congress of a resolution threatening President Obama with impeachment if he should repeat his crime against Libya, and launch any attack on Iran or Syria without congressional authorisation. Obama has betrayed the millions of Americans who voted for him expecting a change in the war policies of Bush and Cheney, by seizing even more executive power to commit illegal acts of war, including facilitating the murder of a head of state, and ordering the killing of U.S. citizens. This resolution is a sign that there is an intention in the U.S. Congress to force Obama back from the brink of his present war drive, orchestrated as usual by the British, that seeks to use Iran and Syria as triggers for a thermonuclear showdown with Russia and China. It follows last week’s Washington Post advertisement featuring senior retired military figures urging Obama not to attack Iran.

The larouchepac.com statement reads:

Obama Put on Notice

Offensive Military Force without Congressional Authorization Constitutes an Impeachable High Crime and Misdemeanor

Rep. Walter Jones, Republican from North Carolina, has introduced H. Concurrent Resolution 107, which calls on the House, with the Senate Concurring, to do the following:

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

March 7, 2012

Mr. JONES submitted the following concurrent resolution;
which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

“Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.

Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.”

Commenting on this resolution, Lyndon LaRouche said that this is “urgent” and that everyone should go “full steam ahead” with organizing support for it. This comes from a member of Congress with military credentials, which is extremely important in this case. It is to be highly welcomed. “This bill could save the United States from destruction”, LaRouche said.

End of LaRouchePAC statement.

The CEC is publicising this statement in Australia, because Australia is already heavily embroiled in the British-Obama war drive, including through former Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd’s global agitation for the attack on Libya and a similar attack on Syria. Furthermore, Obama’s new U.S. Marine base in Darwin, which is targeted at China, makes Australia itself a target in the event of an attack on Iran and Syria triggering a thermonuclear showdown with Russia and China.
