LaRouche webcast: Only hope for world economic recovery is Pacific region

In a presidential-style webcast address on 30th September, U.S. statesman and physical economist Lyndon LaRouche declared, “There is a general breakdown process under way now. We are nearly at the terminal end of the existence of the order of the trans-Atlantic world as we’ve known it up to now. Exactly what hour or even what day, this thing is going to collapse, we don’t know, but the collapse is now, in its present form, barring a miracle, inevitable.”

Given that trans-Atlantic breakdown and the recent political surprise delivered by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, revealing their intention not to go down with the sinking ship, LaRouche went on to say that, “we have to look at the alternative for organising a recovery, which is in the Pacific region.”

But in order to save civilisation, the United States must participate.

This must begin with the immediate constitutional removal of Wall Street agent Barack Obama from office—the only way to guarantee he is unable to prevent the re-enactment of Glass-Steagall. This is the first condition, LaRouche said, for saving the U.S. from early destruction. “Now, let me emphasise what I mean by ‘destruction’,” he explained. “I mean that the hyperinflation is so bad, has reached such a point, that at almost any time money can virtually cease to exist. Which will mean a condition, in which people, in the United States, for example, will start dying in large numbers, because that’s what the situation is. So we must have him out of office, or effectively neutralised, and we must have the Glass-Steagall then enacted.”

LaRouche listed the actions that must form the basis for trans-Pacific cooperation:

  1. Glass-Steagall;
  2. a U.S. Constitution-style credit system to finance projects to grow the economy;
  3. the cancellation of all green policies;
  4. very large investments in high-gain projects such as the North American Water and Power Alliance.

“We have the opportunity, we have the necessity,” he said. “We shift, immediately, with the help of our allies in Russia, China, and we know that India will come in; we know that Japan will be happy to come in; we know that Korea will be happy to come in; we know that Indo-China will be happy to come in. We know that Australia will be looking. ‘Who are the British?’ the Australians will say, ‘We don’t need them, any more.’ And with that organisation and that approach, we have the possibility before us, of a future for mankind, it’s a future for us to lead.”
