Isherwood: Government must fund real science, not climate hoax

Craig Isherwood today demanded the government do its job of looking after the welfare of the people, by properly funding real science, such as medical research, and research into the precursors of deadly earthquakes, instead of wasting billions of dollars on the fraud of “climate change”.

“The government is showing its true colours by what it chooses to fund,” the Citizens Electoral Council leader said.

“Julia Gillard’s plan to gut funding for medical research by $400 million, and ignore the deadly threat of increased Pacific earthquake activity, while lavishing billions on a scientific fraud—climate change—which is killing people by forcing cuts in energy consumption, betrays the Australian people to the British Crown’s scheme for global genocide.

“It is hardly surprising,” he said. “Gillard last year identified herself with fellow Fabians Kelvin Thomson and Bob Carr, and Prince Philip’s Australian fronts, the Australian Conservation Foundation and its spin-off Sustainable Population Australia, as an advocate for reducing Australia’s population.”

Mr Isherwood emphasised the importance of medical research was obvious, but declared the biggest immediate challenge facing every government was beefing up research into earthquake precursors.

“Climate change is a con, but there are deadly threats in nature, and the Japanese earthquake and tsunami is a timely reminder of how deadly they can be,” he said.

“Governments must pour resources into the cutting edge scientific research into earthquake precursors, which can enable us to accurately predict, and guard against, major earthquakes.”

He cited the case of Italian seismologist Pier Francesco Biagi of the University of Bari’s Physics Department, who accurately forecast the Japanese earthquake 10 days earlier. Biagi disproves the claim that earthquakes can’t be predicted, but his work has been deliberately suppressed by underfunding. “[C]ountries in which research on precursors is still encouraged and funded are very few”, Biagi wrote in Nature magazine back in 1999. “Generally this research is prevented so that in Europe any reference to earthquake precursors in a scientific proposal will guarantee that it will not be funded. Therefore, reputable and qualified scientists in this field are boycotted a priori. Is this the right way to conduct science?”

Mr Isherwood contrasted U.S. President Barack Obama’s mealy-mouthed justification for inaction, when he said, “There are some things we can’t control—we can’t control earthquakes, we can’t control tsunamis, we can’t control uprisings on the other side of the world …”, to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s remarks to a meeting about the Russian space program on 7th April, in which Putin commemorated Yuri Gagarin’s inaugural space flight 50 years ago as a “legendary event” that opened a “new chapter in human history”, and drew the connection between space exploration and being prepared for deadly earthquakes. Putin noted, “Our colleagues have just mentioned that we noticed certain signs of the earthquake that struck Japan before it happened. And we understand the tragic consequences of this disaster. Naturally, in connection with this we seriously need space programmes … There is still a lot that we have yet to understand about the way nature works. And this will be impossible without space exploration programmes, without the space industry you work for, and which makes us proud.” Putin called upon the International Space Station partners “to study the Moon, Mars, and other planets together.”

Mr Isherwood observed that Australia can and should contribute in a significant way to space exploration, and, as far as forecasting deadly earthquakes such as the ones which devastated Christchurch and Japan, he stated “I recommend that every Australian watch the recent extraordinary interview with Russian scientist Sergey Pulinets in which he demonstrates, beyond any doubt, that earthquakes and related disasters can be forecast if governments wish to do so.

“Which direction is Australia going to go? Will we tackle real scientific challenges to benefit humanity, or cling to the unscientific superstitions, convince ourselves that people are powerless and/or bad, and keep wasting billions on climate change?” Mr Isherwood asked.

“It is up to the Australian people to demand the government act in the interests of the people, and fund real science,” he concluded.
