LaRouche webcast:

Mass strike is a global revolution against the British Empire!

American statesman and physical economist Lyndon LaRouche in a 10th March international webcast defined the present eruption of mass demonstrations across the globe, as a global “mass strike”—a revolt of the people against the dying, British monetarist empire which has been looting them to the verge of extinction while pouring tens of trillions into bailing out its private banks. There are no “local” political processes; this revolt against monetarist oppression is rapidly redefining the politics of every nation.

Focusing on the history of Ireland and the U.S., and their shared struggle against the British Empire which led to America’s victory over Britain in the American Revolution, and the establishment of America’s unique national system of economics, LaRouche emphasised the mass strike is the same history being played out today, against the same monetarist imperial enemy.

The political upheaval erupting in nations across the world is a mass strike of the people, who are fighting back against the City of London/Wall Street-centred murderous policies behind the food shortages, the cost of living crisis, the bank bailouts, the brutal austerity cuts, the union-busting, and everything else that is killing people in order to prop up the bankrupt British imperial monetary system:

  • Irish voters bludgeoned Ireland’s coalition government in the 25th February elections, for bowing to the City of London’s demands it bail out Ireland’s private, British-owned banks at the expense of the Irish people—the ruling Fianna Fáil party, the largest in the parliament for the last eight decades, collapsed in the worst defeat for a ruling party since the nation was formed in 1922;
  • Tunisians took to the streets to protest food shortages caused by the global food shortage, which toppled the government;
  • Egyptians ended 30 years of Hosni Mubarak’s rule, which they blamed for the globalisation policies that have destroyed Egypt’s food security;
  • Libyans have risen up against British stooge Qaddafi;
  • Teachers in Wisconsin and numerous other U.S. states have taken to the streets in their hundreds of thousands to fight the fascist union-busting policies demanded by Wall Street to force the burden of the bank bailout onto the people.

LaRouche said, “You have a mass strike movement, which is now international. It’s transatlantic, it embraces the entire Mediterranean region, and it’s spreading. You have people who are expressing this who are confronted, as a relative intelligentsia of the people, as typified by teachers, and as pupils, who are determined that they have no future as long as this present system goes on. They are determined that the situation which they face is immediate. There is no room for compromise! This is a revolutionary situation, and a classical revolutionary situation. You can’t stop it by chatter! You are taking people’s lives away; you’re killing their children. You expect them to calmly negotiate terms with you? They want you gone! And they will not be satisfied with anything less than your going. And if you’re smart, you’ll go peacefully. You’re at such a time.”

For Australians, LaRouche’s webcast is a must-see. His analysis of the mass strike is absolutely essential to understand the recent unprecedented turmoil in Australian politics, which has claimed an Opposition Leader and a Prime Minister, deadlocked the parliament, and now raises the prospect of an increasingly immiserated Australian population getting to the point of “doing an Egypt”.
