“Barack Obama’s order to U.S. forces in Afghanistan not to destroy the opium crops betrays the U.S. efforts against terrorism to British policy, so Australia should withdraw our troops, instead of deploying them as cannon-fodder in what amounts to another British opium war,” Citizens Electoral Council leader Craig Isherwood declared today.
Mr Isherwood reacted to the revelations that the logistical support for the jihadi terrorist network behind most of the world’s terrorist attacks, including last week’s deadly suicide bombings in Russia, comes from Afghanistan’s opium production—which is flourishing under the protection of the NATO forces, including Australian troops, deployed there against the Taliban.
On 28th March, the Russian Foreign Ministry accused the U.S. of “conniving” with Afghanistan’s opium producers, by refusing to destroy the opium crops in the main opium growing regions of the Helmand Province.
In a 2nd April statement, U.S. statesman Lyndon LaRouche blasted Obama’s policy as “treasonous” and called for his impeachment: “Obama is sending American soldiers to be shot at and killed in Afghanistan by an insurgency financed by the opium trade that he is protecting”, he charged. “This policy of sending Americans to be killed by insurgents that are backed by the British policy that Obama is totally backing is treason. Americans are being shot by an enemy that Obama is defending. The Russians are furious because the Afghan opium money is financing and deploying the recent terrorist operations inside Russia.”
Under the NATO arrangements for Afghanistan, it is the British forces which are responsible for “narcotics control”, and most of the increase in opium production has been in the provinces under British control. [see cecaust.com.au/main.asp?sub=media&id=2010_04_05_otc-pm.html]
LaRouche’s LPAC news services reported 1st April, “While the U.S. protection of the British-sponsored opium production in Afghanistan—which grew 40-fold after the U.S. and NATO occupation of Afghanistan began in 2001—started under the Bush/Cheney administration, it was Obama who ended all eradication of opium and ended the efforts to eliminate the drug lords and traffickers who fund the Taliban and insurgency operations, just at the point that American patriots in the military mapped out a strategy to eliminate the drug traffickers.”
The treachery of the British can be seen not only in their facilitation of the drug trade—a longstanding British imperial specialty going back to the Opium Wars against China—but also in their decades-long sponsorship of terrorist organisations, both directly and through surrogates like the Saudi royal family, which sponsors the extreme, fundamentalist Wahhabi sect of Islam practiced by the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, and the Russian suicide bombers.
Although other American experts are now calling for Obama to be impeached, LaRouche has identified the urgency of constitutionally removing him from office, before the British—who see Obama as a disposable asset because the American people have turned on him—assassinate the president. In that vein, an ominous piece in the 3rd April City of London Telegraph by columnist Toby Harnden entitled “David Petraeus for President: Run General, run”, promotes the head of the U.S. Central Command as Obama’s replacement, which the British clearly hope would be a military dictatorship to subdue the mass strike turmoil among the American people.
Mr Isherwood said nations must wake up to Britain’s skulduggery:
“The British always called their imperial manoeuvrings in Afghanistan ‘the Great Game’, and it’s time we stopped playing it,” he said.
