Craig Isherwood: Rudd be warned—only LaRouche’s ‘New Bretton Woods’ will avert a dark age

“Kevin Rudd had better support Lyndon LaRouche’s prescribed New Bretton Woods measures at the G-20 conference on 15th November in Washington D.C., or he’ll be guilty of contributing to the collapse of Australia, and the world, into a dark age,” CEC National Secretary Craig Isherwood declared today.

“If Rudd intends, as it appears, to support Gordon Brown’s British imperial scam to empower the IMF as a world financial dictatorship, but exempt from regulation the largely-British offshore tax havens and their associated hedge funds and derivatives—the cancer of the financial system—it will be a betrayal of Australia’s true interests, to further the City of London’s.

“The issue is the world’s $1.4 quadrillion derivatives bubble—we’ll only fix the crisis by writing these derivatives off,” Isherwood said. “That’s what LaRouche has prescribed, which is why Australians should insist that Rudd only commits Australia to a real New Bretton Woods solution, and not Brown’s British imperial scam.”

Lyndon LaRouche released a major paper this week (click here to read it), which lays out the crucial principle around which a new Bretton Woods system must be based: securing the right, worldwide, to true human freedom, defined as the liberation of the creative powers which separate mankind from the beasts.

LaRouche specified that any New Bretton Woods system must be “entirely consistent with the original intention of such as Benjamin Franklin and Alexander Hamilton in the founding of [the] U.S. Federal Republic”, which Republic—including under subsequent leaders such as Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt—has been “the rallying point of peoples of the world against what has been the leading traditional opponent, British imperialism”.

Within that context, the U.S., Russia, China and India, together with secondary nations, must proceed to put the world’s monetary system through bankruptcy reorganisation, including the cancellation of all derivatives claims.

LaRouche does not mince his words. “Any negotiation which does not proceed from that specific, first step, will result in a far worse catastrophe than is already oncoming. The worst thing that could be done now, would be to call an impromptu ‘new Bretton Woods’ convention which would be a hodge-podge of diplomatic debating points. By resorting to what is such an inherently failed effort, the credibility of any competent subsequent action would be ruined in advance—and the world as a whole would then, more or less assuredly, deliver itself to a sojourn of centuries to come in a forthcoming economic version of Hell.”
