The $700 billion bailout that Wall Street’s bankers are demanding from the U.S. Congress, shows that the people have a choice, in terms of responses to the global financial meltdown: a bailout for the bankers (which includes a bankers’ dictatorship), or Lyndon LaRouche’s Homeowners and Bank Protection Bill.

No Bailout! No Bail!

Hank “Hjalmar Schacht” Paulson and his banker buddies insist that we have no alternative but to bail out the banks immediately, and only then, after the crisis has passed, can we take steps to make sure it never happens again. What a crock! The way to make sure that this never happens again is to teach the bankers a lesson they won’t soon forget, by letting them suffer the full consequences of their incompetence and criminality. All we teach them if we bail them out is that they can get away with it, so let’s show them the full power of national regulatory and criminal justice: shut them down, put them through bankruptcy proceedings, reorganise the essential banking functions into a new, highly regulated banking system where speculation is prohibited, and freeze all the debts, derivatives and bets until they can be sorted out. Break this parasitic system, bring banking back under tight government control, and begin the investigations to expose and punish the criminality. No bailout, no bail! That’s the way to do it. That’s a lesson they won’t soon forget.

The only possible way to reorganise the banking system is with LaRouche’s HBPB, which parliament must pass immediately. If you support the HBPB, help us put enormous pressure on every Federal Parliamentarian, to pass the bill.

• Download and print the petition calling for the HBPB and fax it to your Federal MP. Click here for their contact details. If you can speak to your MP personally, demand that they meet with the LaRouche Youth Movement who will be in Canberra at the next parliamentary sitting beginning 13^th October.
• Download and print the flyer which shows the utter bankruptcy of the Australian banking system, and why without passage of the HBPB our nation will soon follow the entire world into a new Dark Age. Distribute, letterbox, or put in shop windows/on notice boards.
• If you are a councillor, raise the HBPB for discussion at your next council meeting, and organise for a resolution calling upon Federal Parliament to enact this legislation.
• If you belong to a union, contact your union rep or office and tell them to act on the HBPB, by taking it up with federal parliamentarians.
• Use the above text as the basis for a letter to the editor, or call talk back radio to raise these ideas.
