“Yesterday's Sunday edition of the Washington Post
leads its front page with a remarkable echo of my own opening statements of the
past Thursday International LPAC webcast,” commented Lyndon LaRouche on June 24.
To understand the significance of the Post report,
first look at what LaRouche said in January of 2001 regarding the danger of an
American “Reichstag Fire” type event as a pretext for dictatorship to be
introduced.
"What you're going to get with a frustrated Bush
Administration, if it's determined to prevent itself from being opposed—its
will—you're going to get crisis management. Where members of the Special Warfare
types, of the Secret Government, the secret police teams, and so forth, will set
off provocations, which will be used to bring about dictatorial powers and
emotion, in the name of crisis management.
"You will have small wars set off in various parts of the world, which the Bush Administration will respond to, with crisis-management methods of provocation. That's what you'll get."

As LaRouche said in his June 21st webcast (and as the Post's account suggests) there is a crucial link between the history of BAE systems and 9/11—“the only means by which this kind of thing is orchestrated, is found in one location: In a financial complex which is centered in the identity of the BAE.” (The BAE is the British Aerospace private defence apparatus recently exposed in the British/Saudi oil-for-arms scandal).
The Washington Post report mirrors LaRouche’s further explanation of how Cheney used 9/11 to turn the presidency into a dictatorship, depicting how “down in the bunker on 9/11, Cheney and Addington
plotted to expand presidential powers.”
What observers of Cheney saw on 9/11 “was extraordinary
self-containment and a rapid shift of focus to the machinery of power.” The rapid chain of events setting up everything from warrantless wiretapping to military commissions is then laid out by the Post—all led by Cheney. His role as the Carl Schmitt of the Bush administration is made abundantly clear.
As LaRouche concluded during the Q & A section of his webcast: “The [BAE] story is now out. Cheney is in deep kimchee, and those who don't want to impeach Cheney are also in deep kimchee too.”
