LaRouche: The Crisis of the Nero Presidency

January 19, 2010 (LPAC)—Go back to the April 11, 2009 webcast, during which LaRouche authoritatively defined the problem of the Obama Nero Presidency. We are at a critical moment today. If Scott Brown wins the Senate seat in Massachusetts, this will represent an absolute landslide reversal of trends. We have seen this signaled in the Harpers magazine piece and other similar pieces of late, which understand and report on a phenomenon they have not caused. What we are dealing with is the mass-strike process, as LaRouche uniquely understands that process. If Brown wins in Massachusetts Tuesday, it will not be due to Coakley being a poor candidate; for the purposes of core constituents, both Brown and Coakley are credible. This is all about the mass rejection of Obama and his policies. We first saw the manifestations of the mass strike process in August. Now we are in a different phase. It is a qualitative change in dynamic, not just a measure of a larger or smaller number of people. Even if the Democrats pull something off and Brown loses, it will not alter the dynamic, just slightly alter the timing of the big downturn for Obama. Massachusetts is not a statistical electoral event. It is part of an historical process. Any attempt at a simpler explanation is mechanistic and wrong.

We have reports from inside the Democratic Party that Obama has not backed down in the least on the death care bill and on a vicious austerity drive. There were meetings Sunday, where it was decided that Obama will deliver the State of the Union (SOU) message on Jan. 27. But Obama wants the "health care" bill before the SOU, and the only way that can happen is if the House is forced to eat the Senate bill, which has already passed. In his SOU, Obama will roll out a brutal austerity plan, which will be presented in the budget, due to be released Feb. 1.

LaRouche's comment on this, was that Obama, like Nero and other Roman emperors, is a terrorist. He is punishing the American people, seeking revenge on the American people for their rejection of him. Morally, Obama is a weakling. TIME magazine tipped off the whole Obama profile with their story last March on the behavioral economists surrounding him. Remember the Roman emperors, based in Capri, who took revenge, targeted relatively minor threats for public execution as object lessons to all. Look at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as such an event, carried out by the Emperor's nephew, Pontius Pilate. These are acts of demonstrated cruelty.

So, Obama will act with pre-emptive cruelty, by profile. He will try to bury the Massachusetts defeat, if it happens (we will know by late Tuesday or Wednesday morning for sure), with his State of the Union. They have a deadline on Geithner (don't be surprised if he is dumped as part of the flurry of activity to change the subject away from Massachusetts). They have the Bernanke problem also to deal with. And they have yesterday's catastrophe in Afghanistan, as well as Iran and North Korea on the agenda.

LaRouche emphasized that we have to be clear and hold our nerve: We are entering the terminal phase of the Nero Obama regime. We have people like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden who understand, from their own years in the US Senate, what the impact of a Scott Brown victory will be.

With all of this we must keep our strategic mission in clear focus. The key is the difference between the trans-Atlantic dying civilization, and the alternative process underway in the trans-Pacific region. Russia, China, Japan, India and others are moving in a different direction, one that holds the potentiality to save civilization from a global dark age. But they, alone, do not possess sufficient power to pull it off. Only if the United States is fully brought into that trans-Pacific alliance can we win.

Among other things, we must hit very hard at the anti-nuclear insanity. It is spread by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip (the late Prince Bernhard) and those lunatics. They have already brought Europe down with this anti-nuclear insanity and they are close to bringing the U.S. down as well. There are good nuclear ideas coming out of Asia/Pacific, but they are coming, in part, out of desperation over the insanity coming out of a dying Europe and a near-dying USA. If the Atlantic region dies, especially the USA, then it becomes impossible to save the planet. The whole planet goes. Don't expect sanity or survival from Europe. The USA holds the key. So we must tone everything to this issue: the survival of civilization as a whole! We must show contempt for anyone on the wrong side.
