LaRouche: Brits Declare 'Thumbs Down' To Obama In New York Times Lead Editorial

November 29, 2009(LPAC)—The New York Times today published a lead editorial, trashing President Obama and singling out White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, for wrecking the early initiatives towards a Middle East peace breakthrough. Source close to the Obama White House confirmed that the Times editorial represented a dramatic vote of no-confidence in the entire Obama Presidency, so long as the likes of Emanuel are dominating the decision-making (or non-decision-making) process in the West Wing.

Under the title, "Diplomacy 101," the Times noted their initial enthusiasm about the appointment of George Mitchell and the President's clear prioritization of Israel-Palestine peace. But, "nine months later, the President's promising peace initiative has unraveled.... Mr. Obama's own credibility is so diminished (his approval rating in Israel is 4%) that serious negotiations may be farther off than ever." Flatly declaring that President Obama showed no "stratgic skill" in the handling of the negotiations with Netanyahu, the editorial explained, "We don't know exactly what happened but we are told that Mr. Obama relied more on the judgment of his political advisors—specifically his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel—than of his Mideast specialists."

The Times editorial questioned: "What has President Obama learned from the experience so he can improve his diplomatic performance generally?" Clearly, at the Times Editorial Board, they have little hope or expectation of any change, so long as the President turns to the likes of Emanuel, as well as David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett. Add this attack on Emanuel to the barrage of media coverage of the imminent demise of Tim Geithner, and the picture of collapse of the Obama Presidency becomes McChrystal clear.

Informed of the Times editorial vote of no-confidence in Obama and Emanuel, Lyndon LaRouche today added his own assessment: The British, who put Obama in power in the first place, have concluded that he is hopeless, and the Times editorial serves notice of their decision to dump their "Obama program." LaRouche assessed that the British will now move to bring down, in humiliating ways, their onetime puppet with the serious Narcissistic disease. "The British will use the destruction of President Obama to demoralize the U.S.A. and reassert the direct power of the British Empire. But," he warned, "the entire world system is disintegrating and no system based on the British-Venetian model can survive this onrushing breakdown. No system based on worthless assets can survive at this stage in the breakdown. You can't prevent a collapse by accelerating the physical breakdown of the world."
