Obama on the Ropes, As His Nazi Health-Care Scheme Crumbles

August 22, 2009 (LPAC)—It is beginning to sink in, even among Establishment media sources, that Obama is sinking fast, and that his Nazi health-care plan is going down with him.

* The leading news is the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll results, which reflect a sharp drop in public confidence in Obama's leadership, and intensifying opposition to so-called health-care reform. ABC reports it this way: "Obama's approval rating for handling health care has fallen steadily from 57% in April to 46% today, led by a steep a 17-point slide among independents. And expectations he can successfully accomplish reform have dropped further—from 68% shortly before he took office to 49% now."

This goes along with what the Washington Post calls increasing pessimism over the nation's direction: 55% see things seriously on the wrong track, up from 48% in April.

* "The situation this Summer has slipped completely out of control for President Obama and Congressional Democrats," Charlie Cook writes in The Politico. Cook suggests that Democratic losses in the 2010 elections could exceed 20 seats, but then he implicitly admits that things could blow up much sooner, saying that it would be a mistake to underestimate the impact the mood expressed in town meetings over the recess, will have on Congress when it returns in September.

* An Associated Press wire portrays Obama as on the defense on health care, with control of the debate "slipping from his grasp," and Obama struggling to regain the momentum.

* Politico runs a long post-mortem on Obama's health-care drive, entitled "Obama's Lost Summer." The article says that Obama started in the Spring with the "experts' agenda," including "bending the cost curve on health spending, reforming the delivery system, and promoting Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER)." As a surrogate for acknowledging LaRouche's role, the article cites a Democratic official referencing Betsy McCaughey's "under-the-radar" February op-ed on rationing and CER—but when the CER money stayed in the stimulus bill, they though they'd won the fight, and "the issue received only scant attention in the mainstream media."
