Obama's Health Care "Coalition" Continues to Shatter Into a Million Pieces

August 18, 2009 (LPAC)—The patchwork quilt of competing and contradictory political groupings that President Obama thought he had glued together with the spit and chewing gum of his own "popularity," all for the purpose of imposing London's Nazi health care reform, is now shattering into a million pieces. What is causing this to happen is the mass strike process underway in the country, where people are finding themselves in emotionally- charged political motion, without even knowing why.

Contrary to the media's deliberate misrepresentation, the issue is not the so-called "public option," which has been converted into the hot-button issue of the day in most press accounts. The brawl over the public option—which in any event is a terrible component of Obama's fascist package—is merely symptomatic of the fact that there is no longer a deal to be struck, because the country is blowing up.

For example, the leadership of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and Black Caucus wrote a letter to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius yesterday, rejecting her comments that the public option is "not the essential element" of health reform, countering that "a robust public option is essential" and that no bill lacking it will be passed by the House.

Yet on the Senate side, Kent Conrad (D-ND) told the press that any bill that does include a public option, will not be passed by the Senate! More to the point, Blue Dog Democrat Allen Boyd of Florida yesterday told an angry constituent at a town hall meeting, who urged him to "scrap everything and start over" on health reform: "I think that is an excellent idea; we may end up there."
