Soros-Backed, Big Pharma Join Forces for Obama's Nazi Health Reform

August 9, 2009 (LPAC)—"Families USA," which describes itself as an advocate for affordable health care, has jumped in bed with the pharmaceutical industry in an advertising campaign to try to save President Obama's health care reform. According to an AP wire, PhRMA, the lobbying arm of the drug industry, is planning to spend $150 million to $200 million on a massive advertising campaign to promote Obama's plan. PhRMA plans to air the ads in conjunction with "Families USA," a supposedly liberal group that has attacked the drug industry in the past. Ron Pollack, the executive director of Families USA told AP that the partnership is one of mutual self-interest. "We want to achieve coverage for everyone. For PhRMA, this would improve volume for prescription sales because everyone would have better access to medicine." Families USA gets a significant portion of its funding, on the order of $100-300,000 per year, from George Soros's Open Society Institute. Like Families USA, Obama also previously attacked the drug industry, when he was a Presidential candidate, but is now making dirty deals with them.
