Man Is Not an Animal, But Peter Singer Is a Beast!

July 17, 2009 (LPAC)—Just when you thought things could not become any more psychotic around the White House, along comes Peter Singer, the Australian radical Benthamite, promoter of bestial sex with animals, radical euthanasia advocate, and the latest celebrity to step forward to push Obama's health care "reform." Singer is the author of a major piece in next Sunday's New York Times Magazine (see separate slug), touting the Obama health care reforms, from a purely Schachtian standpoint. The fact that the White House—and the Times—have chosen to trot out Peter Singer, is just an indication of how far gone the White House Jesters are. Singer is a close ally, if not an outright guru of the whole "behavioral economists" gang, particularly White House advisor and University of Chicago Obama clone Cass Sunstein, co-author, with Richard Thaler, of Nudge.

In 2005, Sunstein and Martha Nussbaum co-edited a book, Animal Rights: Current Debates and New Directions, a collection of essays by leading animal rights proponents, including Singer, whose 1975 book Animal Liberation is widely considered the bible of the animal rights movement. Both Sunstein and his partner Thaler are frequently cited as co-thinkers of Singer.

In many respects, Singer is the living embodiment of Jeremy Bentham, arguing that there is no difference between human beings and animals, because both are capable of experiencing pain. In a series of essays and books, arguing for infanticide against children with severe mental illness, Singer argues that some animals have higher IQs than mentally deformed humans. Singer is also a defender of "zoophilia," sex with animals—so long as the animal is not subject to "cruelty."
