California Shows the Real Direction of "Health Care Reform"

June 1, 2009 (LPAC)—While Obama Democrats preen themselves for "expanding" the State Child Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP), and Sen. Ted Kennedy claims his "health care reform" plan would further expand S-CHIP to cover young adults, the Obama Democrats are standing by while in fact, the S-CHIP program is disappearing entirely in one-sixth of the United States.

That's health care reform, Obama Nazi style.

California's Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, having been told by Obama to forget any kind of Federal "bailout" of the financially drowning state, is now eliminating the S-CHIP program entirely in California, along with the state's own Healthy Family Program insurance, to save $1 billion against a $24 billion deficit. With these two strokes of the pen, California will immediately increase the portion of the national population without any health insurance by more than 2 million, or 5%.

Along with many billions in other cuts, these would "turn California into a place that would be unrecognizable in modern America: poor children would have no health insurance, prisoners would be released by the thousands, and state parks would all be closed," while state employees have their salaries cut and become effectively part-time workers, says the New York Times yesterday.

The Times notes that while Arnie's aides are working out with the legislature these steps back into 19th-Century conditions of life, "Mr. Schwarzenegger largely tends to other aspects of governing," including "updating his Twitter feed."

But it does not mention that the "change President" with his "transformative bailouts" of auto companies and Fed/Treasury bailouts of Wall Street, has ruled out any such aid to California as its state services disintegrate and its population are denied health care due to the financial breakdown crisis.
