19th anniversary: evidence of Princess Diana’s murder presented on Australian television!

In the lead-up to the 19th anniversary of the 31 August 1997 deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed in the Alma tunnel in Paris, compelling evidence has just been presented on Australian television that their deaths were not a tragic mishap, but murder.

The 2008 UK inquest into their deaths had already established that, far from being caused by a simple car accident, they were an “unlawful killing”—a verdict that in English law means that the killing was done by one or several unknown persons without lawful justification and in breach of criminal law. Beginning the day of the crash, the world news media have generally suppressed the evidence that led to that verdict, and in the eight years since the inquest judgment was handed down, have almost entirely suppressed the jury’s verdict itself. In a 16 August appearance on Channel 9’s Today program, however, former BBC correspondent and long-time al-Fayed family spokesman Michael Cole exploded that lie. Drawing upon the comprehensive research of the late Australian investigator John Morgan, Cole charged that Diana and Dodi had been assassinated at the hands of the royal family and British secret services.

John Morgan, whom Cole describes as “heroic”, battled through a terminal, immensely debilitating disease called multiple system atrophy, to devote the last 12 years of his life, until his death on 19 November 2015, to a forensic investigation of every detail of evidence relating to Diana’s death. John published his findings in a series of 10 books, the final volume of which, released in late 2014 and repeatedly held up on screen by Cole, is an 800-page meticulous summary of the case entitled How They Murdered Princess Diana: The Shocking Truth.

In response to Today presenter Tim McMillan’s question, “a political assassination by whom?”, Cole revealed that John Morgan raised 44 issues in his final book “that say Diana was assassinated”, including the following:

  • Diana herself had predicted her death in a car accident, “and she specifically blamed her husband, or former husband [Prince Charles], for engineering a crash to look like an accident, in which she would die”.
  • Scotland Yard for six years suppressed two notes recording that prediction by Diana, one in her own handwriting and one by her solicitor based upon a shocking discussion he had with her; had Scotland Yard made those notes available to the French inquiry, “they wouldn’t have looked at it as a traffic accident but as a murder, and we would have had a very different outcome”.
  • Although the Establishment’s coroner Lord Justice Scott had instructed the inquest jury that they were forbidden to consider whether the deaths were murder, the jury returned the most serious verdict they could—“unlawful killing”.
  • MI6, the British Secret Intelligence Service, Cole emphasised, “has a record of doing what they call ‘wet jobs’, off the book”, and the inquest devoted much time to examining a virtually identical MI6 plot to assassinate Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic in a Swiss tunnel. Former MI6 agent Richard Tomlinson testified that he had personally seen a plan for such a hit, employing a bright light to blind the driver, just as witnesses testified that they had seen shortly before Diana’s fatal crash. The Telegraph of 12 February 2008 reported, “Mr Tomlinson said the plan was shown to him by a senior MI6 officer referred to as ‘A’ who argued that a crash in a tunnel would mean fewer witnesses and a greater chance it would be fatal.”

Tribute to John Morgan

Earlier this year the Citizens Electoral Council published a Tribute to John Morgan, in honour of his unwavering dedication to achieving justice for Diana and Dodi. With the devoted support of his wife Lana, John not only produced a comprehensive, extraordinarily detailed 10-volume body of evidence of what John’s friend, Daily Mail Investigations Editor Sue Reid, has called “the biggest scandal of our age”—that Princess Diana was murdered—but he also courageously made public his case for identifying specific individuals as having overseen it and covered it up, and even for naming the person who ordered it. In his 2012 Paris-London Connection: The Assassination of Princess Diana, John wrote, “That power rested in the head of the royal family, the Queen. Only she could authorise the assassination of the most famous and photographed person in the world, the mother of the future King of England, the increasingly powerful Princess Diana.” In one of his many discussions with the CEC, John emphasised that he had not started out with that assumption, nor with any clear hypotheses; his investigation had been provoked simply by reading Diana’s own forecast of her death by “car accident”, in the famous note which her butler Paul Burrell belatedly made public in his 2003 book A Royal Duty.

The ramifications of John Morgan’s work go far beyond Diana, to the very foundations of Britain’s elite power structure, which she had been openly challenging. His investigation intersects the present uproar over the British-Saudi arms trade, at the centre of which are Prince Charles’s extensive, long-standing business and personal relationships with the Saudi royals whom the just-released “28 pages” of the 2002 report of the US Congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11 expose as primary sponsors of those horrific events. Diana had devoted the last years of her life to a high-profile campaign against land mines, which earned her death threats from her ex-husband’s friends in the arms industry, such as Charles’s boyhood chum and former equerry, then-Minister of Defence Sir Nicholas Soames. Publicly denounced by Soames as being in “the advanced stages of paranoia”, Diana by the time of her death had compiled a dossier several inches thick on the British international arms trade, including the role of Britain’s intelligence services in that trade. Those papers have disappeared.

Morgan’s work also intersects the paedophile scandal that for the past four years has rocked the British Establishment, reaching into Buckingham Palace itself. Here again, the name of Prince Charles has surfaced repeatedly, including through his decades-long close friendship with the unspeakable predator Jimmy Savile, which afforded Savile cover to commit his crimes with impunity. Savile had originally been sponsored and protected by Charles’s great-uncle and mentor, Lord Louis Mountbatten, himself a paedophile. According to Savile’s own boast to Dan Davies, cited in his 2014 biography of Savile, In Plain Sight: The Life and Lies of Jimmy Savile, Mountbatten had inducted him into the “Firm” (the royal family) way back in 1966, and those royal associations protected him ever after.

If adequately pursued, these scandals could bring down the monarchy, and its entire, corrupt Privy Council/City of London Corporation-centred British Establishment along with it, including many of the 200 or so leading families of the realm, the high ranks of its intelligence agencies, its Too Big To Fail banks, and its genocidal arms trade and associated worldwide network of private security and mercenary companies staffed by MI5, MI6 and SAS veterans. Lord Soames himself, for instance, is the chairman of one of the largest such companies, Aegis Defence Services, founded in 2002, the year before the Tony Blair-led Anglo-American invasion of Iraq; in 2004 US Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld handed Aegis a US$300-million contract to act as the “coordination and management hub and central intelligence depot” for the many private security companies in Iraq, as well as even some functions of the US military.

The CEC’s Tribute to John Morgan features moving testimonials from many people around the world who were influenced and uplifted by John’s life and work, particularly those who had collaborated closely with him. The producers of the 2011 documentary film “Unlawful Killing” for instance, wrote, “As film makers we felt safe and assured to know that, thousands of miles away from London, a Republican-minded writer of enormous skill and integrity was beavering away, combining meticulous research with forensic logic and considerable personal bravery (in the face of serious illness and the growing displeasure of the British Establishment) to produce a series of volumes that, in their scrupulous attention to detail, were able to skewer every Establishment lie, and expose every official cover-up.” So explosive is their film that, although surfacing from time to time on YouTube, it has been banned from showing worldwide ever since its initial screening at the May 2011 Cannes Film Festival.

John Morgan has provided the basis to obtain justice for Diana and Dodi at last. The CEC is committed to this goal, for their sakes, and for the multitude of other victims of the British Crown and its Establishment.

The full transcript of Michael Cole’s appearance on the Today show was featured in the 24 August 2016 issue of the weekly Australian Alert Service.
