Isherwood: Are Australians being whipped up to accept another war?

Citizens Electoral Council leader Craig Isherwood today warned that while Australians are conveniently distracted by ugly Muslim protests, the British and their stooge Obama are preparing for imminent war in the Middle East, which will undoubtedly involve Australia.

“Have the Muslim protests here been stirred up to help prepare public opinion for an imminent attack on Iran?” Isherwood demanded.

London’s Telegraph reported Sep. 15 that an “armada” of US and British naval power is amassing in the Persian Gulf, in anticipation of an Israeli strike on Iran within the next few weeks. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is issuing increasingly hysterical ultimatums to justify a unilateral strike. Obama, for his part, while publicly distancing himself from Netanyahu’s plans, has privately assured him of full U.S. back-up, knowing that such a war would likely trigger a showdown with Russia and China. This, even though the impartial experts at the International Atomic Energy Agency (i.e. not the political hacks at the top of the IAEA), the weapons inspectors who were proved right in Iraq before the 2003 invasion, and all 14 U.S. intelligence agencies have clearly stated that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons.

This is the context for the wave of Muslim riots and protests which have erupted around the world. Far from being spontaneous reactions to an internet video, the initial protests in Egypt and Libya were provably planned well in advance, as the current president of Libya, among others, has insisted. Moreover, to forward the anti-Muslim sentiment, the Obama administration willfully allowed the attacks on its embassies in Libya and Egypt. Contrary to earlier lies by the Oxford-trained U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice, that the U.S. “had no warning”, it now emerges that the U.S. had had at least 48 hours notice of the planned attacks, but took no steps to boost security (see documentation below). Rice also claimed that the State Department had deployed two Navy SEALS for security for the U.S. Embassy in Libya, a claim debunked by NBC TV on 15 September which stated that there was only a single person on security plus some Libyan militia. Instead of Navy SEALS, the State Department had hired a private British firm, Blue Mountain, linked to the SAS and British intelligence, to provide security at the Libyan embassy, which security so miserably failed.

Meanwhile, London’s Daily Mail reports that a top British Defense minister said that he was fired from Prime Minister David Cameron’s government for opposing a pre-emptive attack on Iran. “Former Armed Forces Minister Sir Nick Harvey claimed he was sacked to avoid a damaging Coalition split over a pre-emptive strike on Iran”, the paper reported.

While preparing the world for an Israeli strike against “Muslim Iran”, the Obama Administration is covering up the reality that America’s ambassador was killed as a direct consequence of America’s own foreign policy crimes committed in league with Britain, in particular the illegal, U.S.-led war against Libya and the murder of Libyan head of state Muammar Qaddafi. The terror networks involved in the embassy attack—the same networks cultivated by the British and Americans to topple and kill Qaddafi—are ultimately sponsored by Saudi Arabia, a client state of Great Britain and the world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism. (Obama has continued George W. Bush’s cover-up of the Saudi role in the Sep. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which cover-up is exposed in Intelligence Matters: The CIA, the FBI, Saudi Arabia, and the Failure of America’s War on Terror, by former U.S. Senator Bob Graham, who chaired the Joint Congressional “Commission on U.S. Intelligence Failures Surrounding the 9/11 Attacks”.)

In Australia, the ugly Sydney protest was organised by Hizb ut Tahrir, a group banned in many nations, including Russia, and nations in the Middle East. However, the group is highly active in Britain, which is notorious for harbouring many of the world’s known terrorist groups. Curiously, in 2007 when the NSW state government called for Hizb ut Tahrir to be proscribed, the domestic spy agency ASIO cleared it to continue to operate freely in Australia.

ASIO also featured in the timing of last weekend’s protest when, just days earlier, it conducted a raid on alleged Muslim terrorists in Melbourne. The raid uncovered scant evidence, but ASIO released the fact that information leading to the raids came from an ASIO agent who had infiltrated the group, a highly unusual—and provocative—admission.

Isherwood asked, “Was the raid, and the publicising of ASIO’s infiltration, deliberately timed to stir up the small number of extremist Muslims in Australia, to guarantee scenes such as those splashed across TV screens and newspapers from the Sydney protest on the weekend?

“Are Australians again being hardened against ‘Muslims’, in a replay of the lead-up to the Iraq war in 2003, to condition us to accept participating in yet another Anglo-American war based on intelligence lies?”

Documentation: America’s advance warning of Libyan embassy murders

U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Travel Warning, August 27, 2012:
“The Department of State warns U.S. citizens against all but essential travel to Libya… [Political] violence, including car bombings in Tripoli and assassinations of military officers and alleged former regime officials in Benghazi, has increased. According to the White House calendar, there is no public record of President Barack Obama attending the daily intelligence briefing in the week leading up to the attacks on the U.S. embassy in Cairo and the assassinations of Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and three American members of his staff. Kim Sengupta, defence correspondent for the London Independent newspaper:
“According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and ‘lockdown’, under which movement is severely restricted.” (The Independent, September 14, 2012.)

Mohamed Yousef El-Magariaf, Interim President of Libya, interview with CBS News:
Bob Schieffer, CBS News: Was this a long-planned attack, as far as you know? Or what—what do you know about that?
El-Magariaf: The way these perpetrators acted and moved… and they’re choosing the specific date for this so-called demonstration, I think this leaves us with no doubt that this was preplanned, determined—predetermined.
Schieffer: And you believe that this was the work of al Qaeda and you believe that it was led by foreigners. Is that—is that what you are telling us?
El-Magariaf: It was planned—definitely, it was planned by foreigners, by people who entered the country a few months ago, and they were planning this criminal act since their arrival. (“Face the Nation”, CBS, September 16, 2012.)

(So much for the claim by Susan Rice, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations on ABC News that same day, that “Our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous—not a premeditated—response to what had transpired in Cairo…”)

Jamal Mabrouk, Member of Libyan February 17th Brigade, a militia affiliated with the Libyan military which was involved in the rescue of American staff:
A member of a Libyan security force said he had met with American diplomats in the capital of Benghazi three days before the deadly assault on the U.S. consulate to warn them about the deteriorating situation in the country. “The situation is frightening, it scares us,” Mabrouk said they told the U.S. officials. He would not say how they responded. Mabrouk said it was not the first time he has warned foreigners about the worsening security situation in the face of the growing presence of armed jihadist groups in the Benghazi area.
