Democratic Party statesman Lyndon LaRouche has written a
major new document, which addresses the changes needed in thinking and policy in
order to "change the system itself." That doomed system was
created in 1971 when Richard Nixon removed the last vestiges of the principles
put in place by Franklin Roosevelt in 1945 with the Bretton Woods monetary
system.
LaRouche writes, "However, from my standpoint, as an
economist who adheres to that American System of political-economy which Nixon's
crowd violated, there is still a potential escape-hatch which could open the way
to recovery, if we seize that option now. That means applying the same
principles to the different world situation, today, which were used by President
Franklin Roosevelt to get us successfully out of that sudden, deep depression of
1929-1933, the depression which the policies of Presidents Calvin Coolidge and
Herbert Hoover had hung around our nation's necks.
"It can be done, if you know the principles, and apply them
competently. First of all, today, many among you, inside or out of government or
party leaderships, must stop making the increasingly popular mistakes in action
and judgment which had become prevalent political habits since about 1971. You
must get out of the way most of our leading government officials had been
thinking up to now; if you don't, there is now no hope for the United States, or
the world at large.
"It was going to come to this, if you did not act
appropriately to change our ways. Now, as in the moment of world war or peace,
the time for that decision has come."

short companion piece, "Defend Westphalia." Learn what
we as citizens and our elected officials as leaders must do to solve this
crisis. And then do it!
Two live LaRouche webcasts coming up
There will be two live webcasts featuring LaRouche this
month. The first, on Thursday, June 15 will be an International Dialogue against
Globalisation, beginning live at 2am AEST. LaRouche
will join Augustín Rodríguez, Secretary-General of STUNAM, (Trade Union of
Mexico's National Autonomous University) via internet to discuss a joint
strategy by patriotic forces in the U.S. and Mexico to defeat globalisation
policies that are destroying economies around the world. The dialogue will be
broadcast on the worldwide web with simultaneous Spanish-English
translation.
The second event, on Thursday, June 22, beginning at 3am
AEST, will be another international webcast of a live address by LaRouche to a
Washington, DC audience. Just back from a highly significant trip to Russia,
where he discussed the creation of a Four-Power Agreement between Russia, China,
India, and the U.S. on the basis of the policies of Franklin Delano Roosevelt,
he will present a strategic overview, and assessment of what must be done to
prevent the Cheney-Gore duo from destroying the United States, and the world.
The webcast title is "The World's Biggest Loose End."
