LaRouche: Obama Government is Lying about Swine Flu Vaccine

October 30, 2009 (LPAC)—American statesman Lyndon LaRouche blew open the Obama Administration's attempt to cover up its failure to produce the vaccine needed to protect the American people from the H1N1 pandemic.

LaRouche was reacting to the Center for Disease Control's Oct. 27 announcement in its weekly press conference call that a paltry 22.4 million doses of H1N1 vaccine had been produced, an increase of only 8 million doses over the previous week. Every Wednesday in the CDC's national call with press, and in every Congressional hearing, major increases in vaccine production are promised by government spokesmen, and do not occur—with no credible explanation provided.

"Nobody believes what the government is saying about its 'last-minute failures' to produce the needed supplies of the swine flu vaccine," LaRouche said. "They have to be lying. You are talking about the hottest issue on the planet, and they claim last-minute failures are responsible for the failure to produce enough vaccine."

Two weeks ago, the CDC projected production and shipment of 40 million doses per month. Swine flu is widespread in 46 U.S. states. Absentee rates in some high schools in the Washington D.C. area are running at 50%. Meanwhile, vaccination clinics close early or are cancelled because vaccine supplies give out.

LaRouche said, "If these officials were doing their job, these vaccine shortages couldn't happen. Did they ever intend to produce the vaccine, and deliver it? Considering the Obama and [former British Prime Minister] Tony Blair proposals for healthcare, it is difficult to believe they were ever honest, and not lying. We have to presume that they are lying, because it goes beyond stupidity. There is no covering up that the intention to fail to produce the vaccine is built into the philosophy of the President's healthcare proposals," LaRouche said. "Every week, it's 'surprise, surprise, surprise'—we didn't deliver it. Can anyone actually believe they intended to deliver it?"
