White House Boasts It Can Ignore Mass Ferment, As Long As Insurance and Drug Companies Are Onboard

September 26, 2009 (LPAC)—Supporters of Obama's Nazi healthcare "reforms" think they can ride out the August town meetings and other protests, as long as they hold their alliance of drug companies, insurance companies, and other major healthcare "stakeholders" together in support of the Obama-Baucus bill.

This was the report on National Public Radio (NPR) this morning, which proved once again why it has earned the right to be renamed "Nazi Propaganda Radio."

NPR's correspondent Mara Liasson reported that the White House had calculated it could not pass healthcare reform if the big interest groups were on the other side, as in 1994. But, she noted, now they're called "stakeholders" rather than "special interests." Besides the deal with Big Pharma that survived an attack in the Senate Finance Committee last night, there are plenty more such deals that the White House has made with doctors, hospitals etc., she said — not to mention the HMO insurance companies.

These alliances, Liasson purred, "have allowed the healthcare overhaul effort to withstand that August rebellion, the town hall 'uprising.'" The interest groups stood firm, she said, and therefore so did lawmakers, who get a lot of backing from the interest groups.

So, even though you saw public opinion slip over the summer, you really didn't see a shift in Congress, Liasson babbled. Many Members of Congress were spooked by the opposition that was expressed over the recess, but they didn't jump ship, and the line-up is pretty much as it was before August, she concluded, reflecting the White House's hysterical denial of the mass-strike process—even though the issue has not yet been put to a real test in the Congress.

The Obama Administration, like other regimes now consigned to the dustbin of history, ignores the mass strike at its own peril.
