Summers and Geithner Put Out the Message: Kill the Old Folks

August 3, 2009 (LPAC)—The Obama Administration deployed the evil leaders of its Nazi health care campaign onto the TV shows today, in order to get out the message: cutting health care costs (and entitlements) is required in order to cut the deficit. That translates directly into killing old people.

As Lyndon LaRouche commented, "More and more people know the Administration is lying. They have about as much concern about health care as Adolph Hitler did in the 1930s. And if they were concerned about the deficit, what about the bailouts? What they are pursuing is a policy of killing people."

First up in the media offensive was Treasury Secretary Geithner, who appeared on Stephanopoulos' 'This Week.' After some preliminary discussion of the so-called jobless recovery, in which it was clear that unemployment was going to continue to go up, Stephanopoulos turned to the deficit. Geithner made his (British-directed) priorities plain:

"Our first priority now, though, is to get this economy back on track, make sure this financial system is repaired. Without that, we're not going to get our deficits under control.

"And the necessary path to fiscal responsibility, the necessary path to getting this country living within our means again is not just health care reform, to bring down those costs, but we're going to do a range of other things. And that's going to be a very difficult challenge to this country...."

Stressing again and again that it will be difficult and we "don't have a choice," he added, "That if we want an economy that's going to grow in the future, people have to understand we have to bring those deficits down. And it's going to be difficult, hard for us to do. And the path to that is through health care reform."

Geithner was followed by Obama's Chief Economic Advisor Larry Summers on Meet the Press, where he gave the standard, lying line about a "turnaround" in the economy. But then he turned to health care.

"Health care is a central issue in long-term deficit reduction," Summers said. He then went through the litany of measures being proposed (and included in the current House bills), including changing the method of reimbursement for Medicare, "taking the whole reimbursement system out of politics" (code for the T4 board), and the like. Summers also made it clear that the Administration is also looking at entitlements as a whole, as a source of loot for their real concerns—continuing the multi-trillion dollar bailouts for the insatiable financier establishment.
