Pelosi Fails Again, President Nero Continues Demanding Nazi Health Policy Passage—NOW!

July 29, 2009 (LPAC)—At 9:45 PM on Tuesday night, there was still no schedule for a continuation of the markup of the House health care bill before the Energy and Commerce Committee. So after two days of frantic maneuvers, there is still no clear picture for the White House of achieving its demand for a health bill—now!

"Misleadership" Nancy Pelosi failed to deliver her Democratic Caucus of the House into the jaws of President Nero, following a 5-1/2 hour (poorly attended) meeting of the "entire" House Democratic caucus on Monday night. Then on Tuesday Obama's hatchet man, Rahm Emanuel similarly failed. Rahm spent 3-1/2 hours on Tuesday trying to pressure the Blue Dog Democrats to agree to vote the health care bill out of the Waxman Energy and Commerce Committee. Rahm, who met with 7 Blue Dogs plus Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman today, also failed, and according to the Capitol Hill gossip paper, Politico, the Blue Dogs came out of that meeting with 12 objections to the White House bill. Last week they only had 10 objections.

Meanwhile, the outcry against "euthanasia" is spreading throughout the Republican party (see separate slug), and at the same time, liberal Democrats are beginning to stand up on their hind legs against Obama's slapping down of universal publically provided health care, aka the "single payer" bill.

It has been reported that the largest grouping of Democrats in the House, the Progressive Caucus will vote against the Administration bill with its Nazi board of overseers. And on Tuesday, Politico reported that two days of White House wrangling to try to force Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) to vote out a bill from his Senate Finance Committee, actually caused more fractures in the Senate. One leading Democrat Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, "said 80 percent of Senate Democrats support establishing a government insurance plan," and he was refusing to accept a Baucus bill that would eliminate that feature.

Nancy has changed her tune from her previous claim that she will pass a health care bill for the White House before the July 31 recess, has somewhat changed her tune, but neither she nor the White House are giving up. She "swatted away" a report from a Republican House office that there will be no floor votes before the recess, returning to her earlier threats to cancel or postpone the recess until a bill is passed.
