Desperate Dems Push Back Against Obama's Health Care Rocket Docket

July 21, 2009 (LPAC)—According to senior Washington intelligence sources, Congressional Democrats have begun to push back against White House pressures to deliver a Hitler-modeled health care "reform" bill by the end of the summer. According to the sources, as of Monday, the White House began pulling back on a drop-dead deadline for the House and Senate passage of their bill, because Democrats in Congress have concluded that their re-elections are in serious jeopardy, if they go ahead with what Obama is demanding.

Recent polls show that in a number of states, Republican challengers are ahead of Democratic incumbents, and that the key issue is health care and the Obama Administration's abject failure to deal with the crash of the real economy, the accelerating job losses and home foreclosures. "Republicans are polling way ahead in a number of states, without doing anything, other than running attack dog efforts against Obama," one source emphasized.

Suddenly, with their reelection in serious jeopardy, some leading Congressional Democrats are demanding that the President come forward with details of his plans. Two issues that have hit them the hardest on the health care front are: the growing perception among voters that the expansion of coverage is going to be paid for by taxing those with existing health insurance; and the idea that the "reforms" will create a dictatorial board, with unchecked authority to ration care, eliminating and overriding decisions by physicians.

"The Democrats are now suddenly demanding details from the White House on what exactly they want as the final legislation, because they fear that the Republicans are going to have a field day—at their expense. The White House can no longer keep the Congressional Democrats in the dark about what they plan," another source reported.

According to one of the sources, one of the Democrats facing a serious uphill battle to win reelection is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). Today, after delivering a seven minute Rose Garden rant about his health care agenda—without taking a single question from reporters, who were kept waiting for 40 minutes—the President sat down with all of the Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where the bill is stalled.

Other leading House and Senate Democrats, including Charles Rangel, George Miller and Max Baucus, also were hauled in for the session.
