Der Fuehrer hast gesprochen

June 11, 2009 (LPAC)—In his first town hall meeting in behalf of his Nazi health plan in Green Bay, Wisconsin today, Barack Obama spoke not as the President of a republic, but rather as the Fuehrer, dictating what he would and would not allow.

"For the government, the growing cost of Medicare and Medicaid is one of the biggest threats to our federal deficit. Bigger than Social Security. Bigger than all the investments we've made so far. So if you're worried about spending and you're worried about deficits, you need to be worried about the cost of health care.

"We have the most expensive health care system in the world. We spend almost 50% more per person on health care than the next most costly nation. But here's the thing, Green Bay: we're not any healthier for it. We don't necessarily have better outcomes.... Right here in Green Bay, you get more quality out of fewer health care dollars than many other communities across the country."

Lyndon LaRouche commented: "Biggest threat? Even bigger than Obama's own Presidential campaign fund? Sure you can reduce costs. You just have to kill off everybody over the age of 60. He can do it, at least temporarily, until it catches up with him."

Obama then ranted: "If we do nothing, within a decade we will be spending one out of every five dollars we earn on health care. In thirty years, it will be one out of every three. That is untenable, that is unacceptable, and I will not allow it as President of the United States."

After pointing out that he intends to cut two trillion dollars in national health care over the next decade, Obama promised to outline "hundreds of billions more in savings in the days to come," that is in addition to the "hundreds of billions worth of savings" he has already identified in the Medicare/Medicaid budget.

Then once again the Fuehrer spoke: "But what I will not welcome is endless delay or a denial that reform needs to happen."

During the question and answer period, Obama complained: "The problem is the health care system is incentivizing each doctor to perform more and more tests. Doctors should work as teams, so there are no duplicative tests; don't overprescribe; how quickly can they get people out of the hospital. The more we're incentivizing high quality preventive care, wellness,... [the better]. 20% of patients account for 80% of costs. The single biggest problem we have in terms of the deficit is Medicare and Medicaid. My stimulus bill is only 7-8% of the deficit. We need to bend the curve down on health care costs. The real nightmare is Medicare and Medicaid."
