Orszag's Nazi Doctors Target Veterans

May 13, 2009 (LPAC)—Blocked on one proposal to wreck wounded soldiers' medical care, President Obama's reformers have plunged ahead on another, more deadly track towards denying health care to millions of veterans.

Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Orszag proposed to save $540 million by having treatment for service-connected injuries charged to the wounded soldiers' own private insurance plans. Leaders of all the major veterans' groups protested in a March 16, 2009 meeting with President Obama, Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Steven Kosiak, Peter Orszag's deputy for defense spending. Within two days, by March 18, the White House backed down and shelved the proposal.

But the next day, March 19, 2009, the White House announced the formation of the Federal Coordinating Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research. This is Orszag's project to prepare a list of approved medical procedures that will be the only ones American doctors are allowed to provide. Denying unapproved ("ineffective") care to costly patients, such as those who live too long or the chronically ill, is a principal means proposed for fulfilling Obama's declaration he will extract $2 trillion from health care — money needed to bail out bankrupt hedge funds.

The Veterans Health Administration Chief Research and Development Officer, Joel Kupersmith, is one of the 15 members of the Orszag
nazi-doctors Federal Coordinating Council.

Dr. Kupersmith is an expert on how to "fund, oversee and promote effectiveness research." Most alarming with regard to veterans care, Kupersmith has been a Visitng Scholar with the Hastings Center, which promotes the killing of elderly, poor and other vulnerable patients by withdrawal of health care. Hastings follows the tradition of the German National Socialist euthanasia program specification that such patients have "lives not worth living."

Budget Director Orszag's deputy, Ezekiel Emanuel (Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's brother), is Orszag's man on the 15-member Federal Coordinating Council along with the VA's Kupersmith.

Emanuel is a Fellow of the same Hastings Center, and has coordinated with Hastings the development of "Bioethics" as a right-to-die paradigm. Ezekiel Emanuel is chief of Bioethics at the national institutes of health. His Deputy Chief and longtime policy partner, Christine Grady, is a board member of the Hastings Center and a leader of the Center's work on killing off the elderly by withdrawal of care.

The program for withdrawing health care from American veterans, now being pursued by the Veterans Administration's Dr. Kupersmith
and other agents of Peter Orszag, is now under investigation by Executive intelligence Review, and by some among the veterans' organizations who have been alerted to the Administration's actions after the climbdown from their March 16 offensive.
